Best TOTK Weapons & How to Obtain

TOTK weapons derive strength from "base + attachment". Knowing how to fuse beats hunting for a single godly weapon.

1. Pick Base by Attack

Prioritize high-attack melee bases; pick a bow for ranged. Note the base has its own durability; attachments add damage, not durability.

High-attack melee base: e.g. Guardian series.

Ranged bow: for flying/high targets.

Use a high-attack melee weapon as the core.

Rock/metal adds damage; horns add element.

Swap attachments on the same base, compare damage, lock the best.

Good bases are scarce; stock a few backups.

Let companions or vehicles draw fire before fighting; save prized weapons for bosses, use common ones on mobs.

When a fused attachment breaks the weapon remains, so "good base + disposable attachment" is the best value.

Where is the best base?+

Late-game labs and elite drops of high-attack Guardian series are safest; use common high-attack early.

Do attachments affect durability?+

No—attachments only change damage/element; durability comes from the base.

Can a broken weapon be repaired?+

Not repaired, but re-fuse a new attachment to extend its life once.
