TOTK has 152 shrines across the surface, sky, and depths. Clear by layer for the smoothest route.

1. Three-Layer Distribution
About 120 on the surface, ~16 each in the sky and depths. Clear the surface first, then go up and down.
Surface shrines: clear along the main path.
Sky/depth shrines: need corresponding abilities unlocked.
2. Progress by Type
Combat
Fixed enemies; good to practice.
Puzzle
Use Ascend/Ultrahand; switch approach if stuck.
Blessing
No combat; walk in for the reward—do these for tolerance.
3. Priority Advice
Before the boss, finish blessing shrines for heart/stamina buffer. Save puzzles for when all abilities are unlocked.
Tip
After lighting a region via a Skyview Tower, unsolved shrines show as "?" on the map—hunt by the map.
FAQ
